About Kazi Mtaani Program

The Kazi Mtaani Program Under Climate Workx 2025/2026 is a government initiative designed to address youth unemployment whilst confronting major environmental and infrastructural challenges in Kenya.

It is a sequel to and expansion of previous phases of Kazi Mtaani, with intense focus on climate resilience, environmental sustainability, and community-based infrastructure upgrading.

Under the larger umbrella of the Climate Workx National Initiative, this program aims to create short-term labor-intensive job opportunities for youth, especially those from vulnerable and low-income households.

The 2025/2026 calendar introduces an aspect that further enhances the program through environmental conservation activities due to tree planting, seedling propagation, and seedbed preparation, among others, in partnership with the Kenya Forest Service (KFS).
